The role:

We are on a journey to transform, integrate and scale our technology stack and have created a brand-new leadership role to enable the maturity and extension of our solution architecture practice! As a Solution Architecture Team Lead, you will lead a team of 2 (Automation & DevOps Engineers) and influence a team of 20 engineers, QAs, and data scientists to drive competitive advantage for oOh!, applying technology in progressive, efficient, secure, sustainable, scalable and reliable ways.

You’ll lead our Engineering Guild to ensure our standards and practices are aligned, commission platform efforts for shared services, and also lead the entire solution design for our campaign trading platform.

About you:

A technology leader, you’ve led and inspired teams of engineers to build technology solutions founded on progressive architecture patterns and have experience in decomposing monoliths. This includes developing mature coding standards and environment management and architecture. Passion for automation is a must. Additionally, you can illustrate a history of strong stakeholder engagement, and can easily transition from deeply technical concepts to conversations with stakeholders that leave them confident, engaged and clear on how we solve for their challenges.

Specifically, you:

  • Have experience in designing and delivering scaled, reliable solutions (ideally in complex media, publishing, or advertising domains)
  • Know and understand the DORA research program, driving change to institute DORA practices that support Elite delivery
  • Experience in microservice, event-driven or service-oriented design
  • Experience in pair programming, test driven development and trunk-based development
  • Can show awareness in and experience building secure applications against OWASP principles
  • Are familiar with modern cloud technologies and patterns (AWS) and experience migrating workloads to the cloud
  • Have a familiarity with build vs buy decisions
  • Have a background in Nodejs, Reactjs, JavaScript programming languages
  • Have experience in formal Agile software delivery methodologies
  • Have formal tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or Software Engineering
